Andrew P. Cornell has been recognized throughout the Commonwealth for his unflagging dedication to the legal rights of indigent domestic violence victims. In 2003, the Massachusetts Bar Association singled him out for the Pro Bono Publico Award for his exceptional contributions to legal services and the principle of equal justice under the law. Two years later, the Boston Bar Association bestowed on him the Thurgood Marshall Award because of his commitment to public service and ensuring the availability of high-quality legal services for low-income clients.
