Muriel Kirschbaum Banks
Portia Law School, 1938
Banks had an older cousin who attended Portia, inspiring her to enroll as a day student. She appreciated the school’s affordability, and loved the fact that being in an all-women environment allowed her to “kick up her heels.” As she enthuses, “[We] could do what we wanted without having to be proper!”
