Neuroscience and the Law - Spring Meeting of the LLNE

Greater Boston Food Bank

It's service time!

As we gear up for our March meeting, we're excited to announce a continuation of this service initiative:  a food drive to support the Greater Boston Food Bank.  Read on for details.

FOOD DRIVE for the GREATER BOSTON FOOD BANK

The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) is the largest hunger-relief organization in New England.  GBFB works to acquire, store, organize and distribute food through local food pantries, community meal programs, homeless and residential shelters, youth programs, senior centers, and day-care centers embedded in communities throughout the nine counties of eastern Massachusetts.

Let's do our part to help those in need.  Here are some examples of most-needed foods:

  • Canned tuna, chicken, or other meats
  • Canned soups or chili
  • Plastic bottles or cans of 100% fruit juice
  • Pasta, rice, or other grains
  • Healthy cereal
  • Dry or boxed shelf-stable milk
  • Canned beans
  • Peanut butter
  • Canned vegetables

Please see the attachment for more suggestions.   Monetary donations are also welcome.

Please bring your food and/or contributions to the meeting on March 8th.  If you are unable to attend the meeting and would like to contribute — or if you have any questions — please contact Service Committee Co-Chairs Catherine Biondo (c.biondo@neu.edu) and Bob Hodge (rhodge@suffolk.edu).

Thank you for your generosity - and hope to see you soon!
