Professional Background

Professor Lewis is professor emeritus at DePaul University College of Law, where he taught Contracts, Commercial Law, and Consumer Protection for 27 years, and co-authored the book used in his Negotiable Instruments course. He also served as acting dean and associate dean at DePaul. Before teaching, he was an attorney in the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC’s) Bureau of Consumer Protection in Washington, D.C., and the assistant regional director of the FTC’s Chicago office.
