Information Packet

Incoming students will receive, through the mail, their schedule for Introduction to the Study of Law Week along with their class schedule, photo ID schedule, bookstore hours, and information regarding purchasing books and Legal Research and Writing shortly before Orientation Week.


Orientation Week

The week before classes begin, all incoming students are REQUIRED to attend Introduction to the Study of Law. The program is intended to give incoming students an opportunity to meet one another and become familiar with New England School of Law in a less hectic environment. The substantive portions of the program are varied, and include lectures and panels on various aspects of the law. During this week, you can buy your books before the upperclass rush and learn where to get a quick meal!

Orientation will be held the week of August 18, 2008. The dates and the times of the program are divided by class sections:

The first day of classes will be Monday, August 25, 2008

During Orientation Week, incoming students will receive the following:

  • Class schedule with Legal Research and Writing assignments
  • Mailbox number and a New England School of Law email account
  • Student Handbook
  • Student ID number
  • Photo ID schedule
  • Bar requirements

  • Meeting with Library Reference Staff and Library Tour
  • Photo IDs taken
