Clinical offerings

Students may supplement course work in business law by enrolling in clinics that involve placements in business-related agencies or firms. In addition, the Business Law Practice Credit allows students who are taking a business law course to earn academic credit for a supervised internship in which they assist attorneys in handling matters involving business law.

Tax moot court

The school's tax moot court team participates annually in the National Tax Moot Court Competition. In six of the past nine years, the team has won awards for its briefs, including two awards for best overall brief and one for runner-up best brief. Many former team members have gone on to earn LL.M. degrees in tax law and to pursue careers in tax law. Professor Schenkel coaches the school's tax moot court team.
