Edward Abel (Class of 1997)
I am currently a senior felony trial attorney with The Office of the Public Defender, Fifth Judicial Circuit, in the State of Florida. I am involved in representing indigent clients charged by The State of Florida with a broad range of allegations. Charges may be a simple Violation of Probation up through Capital violations including armed robbery, kidnapping and murder.
I look forward to discussing with you, how I may be of service. I am a 1997 graduate of the Evening Division. I was Chair of the SBA for the Evening Division; the Arthur W. Maclean Founder's Award recipient; Dean's List student; CALI award winner in Mediation and elected to Who's Who Among American Law School Students for two years in a row. I am happy to talk with NESL students and look forward to relaying how exciting, educational and personally and professionally fulfilling a public service position can be.
