Public Service Work Performed By Other New England Law Faculty

Professor Victor M. Hansen

Professor Hansen volunteers approximately 3 to 5 hours each month assisting students working with veterans at the Veterans Homeless Shelter in Boston. Professor Hansen meets, both at the Shelter and at his office, with students assisting working with specific clients. The students come from New England School of Law, Boston University School of Law and Northeastern University Law School. Professor Hansen helps the students work through some of the military issues that often arise in the cases to which they are assigned. Professor Hansen also has drafted fact sheets on military discharge issues and the methods for petitioning for a correction of a service member's records. Prior to joining the New England faculty, Professor Hansen was a lieutenant colonel in the United States Army JAG Corps, and worked both as a military prosecutor and as defense counsel.
