CLSR’s Criminal Justice Project Selects Volunteers

The Criminal Justice Project of the Center for Law and Social Responsibility has selected six student volunteers to assist with the New England Innocence Project.  The volunteers for this academic year are as follows: Melissa Braatz '10, Nicole Oribhabor '11, Caleb Scott Root '10, Douglas Sheehan '11, Lara Wehbe '10, and Sameen Zia '10.  The New England Innocence Project is housed at Goodwin|Procter LLP in Boston and is reviewing more than 50 cases to investigate the possibility of exoneration.  Over the next academic year, these six students will be meticulously reviewing files, evidence and testimony in order to make a final recommendation to the New England Innocence Project Board about the potential factual innocence of two convicted individuals.  To learn more about the New England Innocence Project click here.  For information about volunteering for the New England Innocence Project this summer or for the 2010-2011 academic year, please click here.
