Come celebrate the legacy of Gideon v. Wainwright and its impact on the civil right to counsel movement with the BBA  Statewide Task Force to Expand Civil Legal Aid in Massachusetts.  This half-day conference will educate interested stakeholders about efforts locally and nationally to evaluate the implications of a civil right to counsel and create such a right in appropriate legal matters.  Featuring the country's foremost experts on civil right to counsel including keynote speaker, Honorable Jonathan Lippman,  the event will set the stage for a discussion of next steps concerning a civil right to counsel in Massachusetts.
