On Tuesday, November 3, at 12:40 p.m., Amy Slaughter of Mapendo International spoke in Professor Dina Haynes' s Refugee and Asylum Law class. Mapendo identifies and assists individuals, families, and groups fleeing war and conflict that need urgent and lifesaving assistance. It works with governments, the United Nations, and other aid agencies to identify durable solutions for people in danger. Ms. Slaughter discussed her experiences working with Kenyan refugees hoping to be resettled, and the work that Mapendo does.
Mapendo International was featured by the Boston Globe earlier this year. Click here to read the article and view a related video.
