Senior Class Reception–Tuesday, May 22, 2012

Members of the Class of 2012 are invited to attend the Senior Class Reception to celebrate their upcoming graduation. The reception will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at 6 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel, located at 200 Boylston Street. Invitations will be distributed with the Commencement invitations and envelopes (see schedule below).

Please R.S.V.P. by Friday, May 4, to Patricia Gresham at 617-422-7260. You must present your invitation and your student I.D. at the door to gain admission to the party. Because this event is intended to provide an opportunity for students to celebrate with faculty and trustees before graduating, we do not encourage students to bring guests. If you do wish to bring one guest there will be a charge of $50, which may be paid at the door.

Invitations to this event may not be given away or transferred to another individual. (Such invitations will not be honored.)

Commencement Invitations and Envelopes

These 10 invitations may be sent to family and friends whom you would like to have attend your graduation. Invitations do not need to be presented at the door, since the Citi Performing Arts Center's Wang Theatre has adequate seating for all guests who wish to attend.

Commencement invitations and envelopes along with the Senior Class Reception invitation will be available for pick-up in the law school lobby during the below dates and times:

Monday, February 27, 2012: 9 a.m.–noon; 2–4:30 p.m.; 6–8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, February 28, 2012: 9–11:30 a.m.; 2–4:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 1, 2012: 9–11:30 a.m.; 2–4:30 p.m.

Following the dates above, invitations will be available for pick-up at the faculty receptionist’s desk on the fourth floor of the Stuart Street building, Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.-noon and 3-5 p.m. until April 1.

Cap and Gown Orders

Please review the information regarding cap and gown orders. The deadline for ordering is Thursday, April 12.

Commencement Instructions

The Commencement Day instructions should be read carefully. Be sure that you understand what you must do and when you are expected to be at each location.

Photographer's Order Form

Please complete the FayFoto, Inc. order form to order a class photograph. Each photograph costs $40. Please fill out the form, specifying whether you are a member of the day or evening division, and return it to FayFoto at the address indicated. You will be able to view the photos online about a week after commencement at www.fayfoto.com/events/nel2012. (Commencement Photo, a separate firm that takes individual pictures of graduates receiving diplomas, will contact you directly.)

2012 Commencement Magazine/Publicity Announcements

The deadline for these submissions is Monday, April 30.

The law school publishes a special Commencement Magazine in the fall that includes photos and information about the 2012 Commencement, along with portraits of members of the Class of 2012 (taken by Herff Jones at photo sessions in November 2011 and January 2012) and brief biographical information about each graduate. Profile information is collected through an online form that allows you to provide information about your background and your law school activities.

A second form at the same online location allows you to submit information to be used in a publicity announcement that the school will send to your hometown newspapers or the alumni magazine of your undergraduate institution.

Disability Services

For special assistance please contact the Office of the Dean at (617) 422-7221 prior to Friday, May 18. Guests who are physically challenged may enter the theater at 10 a.m., 15 minutes before the doors officially open.

Discounted Guest Room Rates for 2012, Parking, and Travel Directions

The law school has negotiated special guest room rates at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers, Revere Hotel Boston, and W Boston. Questions and reservation requests should be directed to the individual hotels.

Driving and public transit directions to the law school include a map of our neigborhood and parking information.
