Welcome to the Career Services Office's alumni web page. The Career Services Office (CSO) is committed to helping graduates of New England School of Law achieve their career goals. The Career Services staff provides the following services for alumni:
NESL Alumni are cordially invited to participate in our biannual Alumni Career Forum to share professional experiences, insight, and knowledge with current NESL students. This event will bring together over 50 alumni from a variety of career paths. It has been a great success in the past with 100 + students attending.
Make an appointment for personalized career counseling with an experienced career counselor. Career counseling can help you to plan effectively and chart your career course.
E-mail your resume and cover letter to CSO@admin.nesl.edu. We will review it for spelling, content, grammar, and legal formatting. As your experience develops and changes, you can send updated versions for review as well.
Schedule a one-on-one mock interview with a CSO career counselor before your real interview. You only get one chance to make a first impression. Let us help you to make the best impression that you can.
The Recruitment and Programming Center (RPC) is the central, password-protected online system where alumni can access job postings. To access the Recruitment and Programming Center, you will need your Jenzabar ID# (former student ID#) and a password. If you do not know your ID# or password, then please call the CSO at 617-422-7229 to request it.
Connect with other alumni to discuss career objectives and explore career interests through the Recruitment and Programming Center (RPC). The Recruitment and Programming Center (RPC) gives you access to more than 800 New England School of Law alumni who have volunteered to provide career advice to current New England students and alumni. You can search the online database of alumni by logging onto RPC and clicking on the “networking” tab.
If you are searching for jobs outside of Massachusetts, you can request "reciprocity" through the CSO. This will allow you to search for jobs through a law school in another state.
If you are experiencing difficulty finding employment, the CSO is here to help. We have access to printed and online resources that are designed to help you find employment. Come and view our reference library of books, binders, directories, and files about individual practice areas, employers, fellowships, and more.
Students and graduates of New England School of Law are well prepared -- both academically and practically -- are highly motivated, and thrive in challenging work environments. That's what employers in law firms, corporate settings, courts, government, and public interest offices consistently report to us. We attribute those evaluations to the high quality of the education our students receive and their personal drive to use that training to succeed in their chosen career.
It is our goal as the Career Services Office (CSO) to provide each student with the resources he or she needs to successfully pursue a legal career. We encourage each student and graduate to take advantage of the many services and opportunities available through the Career Services Office.
Through CAN, the mentoring program of the Career Services Office, the CSO continues to work and connect students with alumni to facilitate an exchange of information, ideas, and assistance that will contribute to the success of New England graduates. Sign up now to be included in the CAN database!
