As a graduate of New England Law, the library is pleased to be able to offer you many resources for help with legal research:
As a first step, apply for an Alumni Permit Card.
The Alumni card allows you easy access through the turnstiles and, with some limitations, the ability check out books. You also gain remote access to many of our subscription databases. Apply here. Your application will be reviewed and your library card should be mailed to you in approximately 2 weeks. If you have questions, please include them in the form's comment box or call Anita Chase at 617-422-7307.
Notice the "ask reference" image in the upper right.
This appears on all our research pages, and like the widget on our home page, it leads to a form for you to submit a reference question, either by email or via our chat software. We are happy to help with your research questions.
Many Databases are accessible to alumni.
You have free access to the majority of our databases if you come into the library, including Westlaw and Lexis, which are located on designated workstations in the first floor reading area. Some vendors place restrictions on remote usage, so to see if you can access a particular database remotely, check our A-Z Database listing. Remote usage via our proxy server requires you to sign in with the barcode number on the back of your Alumni Library card.
