Honored continuously in regional survey

(Boston, 11/19/13)  New England Law | Boston:   For the fourth straight year, New England Law | Boston has been named one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts in the annual Boston Globe survey, one of only two higher-education institutions to be honored this year.

New England Law has been included on the list every year since it began participating in 2010.

Employee responses to this year’s survey indicate that faculty and staff are strongly invested in the law school’s mission and work, that they respect their colleagues and value their working relationships, and that they appreciate the generous benefits and time off that the Board of Trustees continues to provide.

“I am very proud of our employees’ commitment, dedication, and collegial spirit, which make New England Law such an exceptional place to work and learn,” said Dean John F. O’Brien. “The team effort and devotion of faculty and staff create an outstanding environment for our students.”

The Globe’s 2013 Top Places to Work survey measured more than 76,000 individuals’ responses to statements regarding six key factors related to employee happiness, including company direction, execution, employee connection, work load and responsibility, management, and pay and benefits.

Survey participants were also encouraged to comment anonymously about their employment. Examples of statements submitted by New England Law employees include:
“We review all comments carefully and include these views in our ongoing planning, with the goal of making our ‘top place’ even better,” said Dean O’Brien.
