New England Law students clear the bar

Bar examination success continues

(Boston, Revised-12/18/12)  New England Law | Boston:  New England Law | Boston’s pass rate for the July 2012 Massachusetts bar examination was consistent with that of all first-time takers, with our rate matching the state average for that group at approximately 85 percent.

The law school has experienced an overall strengthening trend in bar examination success over the past seven years, including pass rates well above the state averages in 2011 and 2010.

“Our students graduate with excellent skills and experience that position them well for the workplace,” noted Dean John F. O’Brien. He commended members of the Class of 2012 for their hard work, both during law school and in preparing for the exam. “Credit also goes to our excellent faculty, which devotes so much time and energy to creating an exciting and challenging learning environment,” he added.

The dynamic instruction provided by Professor Robert Coulthard, who directs the Bar Examination Preparation Program, is among a wealth of New England Law offerings that benefit students. “Our clinical programs and externship opportunities also contribute to students’ readiness for practice,” said O’Brien, “as does the support and reinforcement provided by our Academic Excellence Program.”
