Robert S. Marcus Memorial Scholarship for May ’13 Day Full-time graduates; Apply by 3/12

The Office of Financial Aid is now accepting applications for the 2012-2013 Robert S. Marcus Memorial Scholarship. A $5,000 award will be made for the 2012-2013 academic year. The application deadline is Tuesday, March 12, 4 p.m.

Eligibility guidelines

• Student must be enrolled as a Day Full-time student in their final year of law school (May ’13 graduate).
• Student must be from a single parent household.
• Student must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid (must have completed 2012-13 financial aid file).
• Student must have a demonstrated commitment to trial practice.

Application Instructions

Interested applicants should submit a written statement of no more than 500 words, which addresses their personal background coming from a single parent household, and their commitment and interest in trial practice law.

In the case of students who have already borrowed the maximum amount allowed through their federally mandated cost of attendance budget, the scholarship proceeds will be utilized to reduce their loan indebtedness.
