Meet the Career Services Staff

Mandie A. LeBeau, Esq., Director

Mandie manages the Career Services Office at New England Law | Boston, where she counsels students and alumni on their careers and maintains employer relations.  Before joining New England Law | Boston in 2006, Mandie was the program director for The Boston Lawyers Group and a program consultant for the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity, where she assisted legal employers with recruiting and retaining diverse attorneys. Earlier in her career, she was an associate at McKenzie & Associates, P.C.
 
Mandie also serves as president of Pardon Me, Inc., a business etiquette consulting firm that teaches students and executives how to present themselves professionally in the workplace. She currently serves on the Data Policy and Collection Committee for the Council of the ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar.  She served as the Northeast Regional Coordinator for the National Association for Law Placement, 2010-2011; the co-chair of the Boston Bar Association's Diversity & Inclusion Section Sub-committee for Pipeline and Recruitment, 2010-2012; and she is a past-president of the Massachusetts Association of Legal Recruiters, 2010.  She received her B.A. in political science from Spelman College and her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.

Mo Chanmugham, Esq., Associate Director of Career Services
 
Mo works with current students and alumni to ensure that they have the necessary tools to find fulfilling postgraduate employment through professional development and job search training.
 
Prior to joining New England Law | Boston, Mo worked in career services at Northeastern University School of Law as a professional development advisor, counseling students on resume and cover letter writing, interviewing, networking, and job search strategies. Previously he was a recruiter for Robert Half Legal in New York City, where he helped match attorneys with employment opportunities in firms and organizations. Mo began his legal career in the music industry as an in-house attorney for the Island Def Jam Music Group and was later at Sony Music. He eventually started his own practice, The Legal Studio, where he advised artists and entrepreneurs on their business and legal transactions. While in law school, Mo interned at Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and for a film financing attorney. Mo received his B.A. in marketing from Boston University in 1999 and his J.D. from New England Law | Boston in 2006.

Jocie Coletti, Esq., Associate Director and Pro Bono Coordinator

Jocie develops and manages all career services programs for students, serves as the facilitator of pro bono initiatives, and assists with career counseling for current students.

Previously Jocie served as director of special events in the Office of the Dean, developing systems for running law school events, including major annual events.  In her previous and current positions, she has contributed an understanding of the law school’s goals, experience reviewing and negotiating contracts, and a focus on details and procedures. Before that, she was assistant director of admissions, recruiting prospective students to the law school.  A 2005 graduate of New England Law | Boston, she was an intern at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and Quinn & Morris, P.C., and served in the law school’s in-house clinic.  Jocie received a B.A. in liberal arts and sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2002

Sara Sandstrom, Assistant Director and Recruitment Coordinator

Sara coordinates all on and off-campus interview programs for students and also helps with career counseling for current students. 

Previously Sara worked in the Career Services Office at Roger Williams University School of Law and at Framingham State College.  She received her bachelor’s degree from  Worcester State College in 2003 and her J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2007.
