Call for Papers – Summer 2010

The Executive Board of the New England Journal of International and Comparative Law invites academics and practitioners to submit works of legal scholarship for expedited review during the coming month of July.

Article Specifications

The Journal is accepting articles on any topic within the scope of international and comparative law, and of varying lengths from short (6,000 to 10,000 words) to long (25,000 to 30,000 words).  Our review of submitted articles will be conducted throughout the month of July on a first-come, first-served basis, and all decisions will be made and reported to the authors by July 31, 2010.

Authors should note that we will be publishing articles in the next Volume of the Journal from our recent Conference on the UN Human Rights Council.  For information on the Conference's topic and speakers, please visit the Conference website.  Articles related to the Conference topic may receive preference, but we will not make any decisions based on this factor alone, as the Journal strives to publish articles on a wide array of topics affecting international law.

Submission Information

Authors wishing to submit a manuscript for consideration should e-mail an electronic copy in Word (.doc) or Rich Text Format (.rtf) along with a resume or a CV to NEJICL@Gmail.com.  For consideration during our summer review period,  manuscripts must be submitted no later than July 16, 2010.

Citations should be in footnote form and should conform to the current edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation.  We may accept articles using alternate citation formats, but the difficulty of converting citations to Bluebook format will be a factor in our choosing to edit and publish an article.

Please note that the Journal will also continue to review unsolicited manuscripts submitted before the summer submission period ends on July 16.
