Bar Exam Request Form

Current graduating class

Law School Certification is required for Bar Examination registration. So that the Office of the Registrar may assist you with preparation of your Bar Examination Registration materials, please complete the following information and submit the form to the Office of the Registrar BY THE TUESDAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING BREAK.

Bar Review Information

You may obtain your MPRE score at the MPRE website.

  1. Are you currently enrolled in a Bar Review course?
  2. Have you taken the MPRE and achieved the minimum score required in your jurisdiction?
  3. Will you be able to commit at least 60 hours per week to study for the bar exam?
  4. Are you planning to work during the two months (approximately 10 weeks) prior to administration of the exam?
  5. Have you considered applying for a Bar Exam loan to pay for living expenses and bar review costs?

If you are planning to take more than one bar exam concurrently (e.g., taking the NY and NJ bar examinations during the same bar exam administration) please complete a Second Bar Certification Form and bring to Professor Coulthard for his signature. By checking the box below, you acknowledge that you understand that you must submit a completed the Second Bar Certification Form and a separate completed certification request form for each state that is not Massachusetts.

NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT THE MASSACHUSETTS LAW SCHOOL CERTIFICATE – FORM 4. The Office of the Registrar sends the Massachusetts Law School Certificate for ALL graduating students upon graduation. The certificates are sent directly to the Massachusetts Board of Bar Examiners after commencement.

Other Materials Required: Some jurisdictions require materials in addition to a certification from the law school. Carefully read the instructions to determine what materials are required. Indicate below which supplemental materials are required for the bar application. In some cases further information is requested after the initial application process.
