Mission Statement

New England Law | Boston’s Black Law Students Association (BLSA) is a student organization created to provide support and guidance for New England Law | Boston’s Black students. The purpose of BLSA is to prepare and motivate students in their academic, professional, and social endeavors while providing a forum in which Black law students can discuss their concerns regarding the law school environment.

We understand the significance of our expertise in law and through the use of our acquired knowledge; we strive to instill a greater awareness of the social and economic issues concerning the Black community at large.  To make an impact beyond the walls of New England Law | Boston, members commit to community service engagements and state policy reform initiatives. Lastly, we encourage social interactions with elite professional circles outside of New England Law to foster meaningful networks, which are crucial to success in the legal profession.
