Professional Background
Edward Crane is a criminal defense attorney specializing in appeals and other post-conviction matters. Upon graduating law school, Crane clerked for Associate Justice Mitchell Sikora of the Massachusetts Appeals Court. He subsequently obtained membership on the Appeals and Post-Conviction Panel for the Committee for Public Counsel Services. In this role, Crane has represented indigent defendants in post-conviction cases throughout the Commonwealth. He has argued nine cases in front of the Supreme Judicial Court and over sixty cases in the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Crane has also litigated many post-conviction motions in the trial courts with significant experience advocating for clients facing immigration consequences due to criminal convictions.
