Eric J. Savoy is the former national leader of Deloitte’s Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Tax Private Equity Practice and overall M&A tax leader for the east coast.  He has 23+ years of experience with Deloitte, primarily serving the firm’s largest private equity clients on complex merger, acquisition and disposition transactions. He also served in the Corporate Tax Practice of Deloitte’s Washington National Tax Office for two years. Eric has experience advising private equity clients and related portfolio companies on various tax structuring and diligence issues involving domestic and cross-border acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing and joint ventures. He has also advised on numerous sale/disposition transactions, including tax structuring and value creation involving tax attributes.  Prior to his time at Deloitte, Eric served as a law clerk to various judges of the Vermont Superior and District Courts.
