Professional Background

Upon graduating from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, I returned to Massachusetts and worked in a variety of law firms of different sizes and for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Special Assistant Attorney General before opening my own law practice in 1996.  In those years, I have been primarily a trial lawyer and have been admitted to practice in MA, NY, NH, RI, and VT and the associated Federal District Courts except for RI.  I have been admitted pro hace and have appeared in MD, PA, NJ, DC, and CT. I am a trained mediator and arbitrator. In addition to my law practice, I mediate and arbitrate cases for the American Arbitration Association, the Better Business Bureau, the U.S Bankruptcy Court, Mediation Works, Inc, and the Lowell District Court Conciliation Program.  My practice includes large commercial cases and construction litigation, as well as real estate and some transactional matters.  I also teach for Southern New Hampshire University, and have taught at Bentley University, Emmanuel College, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Bay Path College, Middlesex Community College and Sanford Brown College.  I am a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association Civil Litigation Section Council where I have chaired and acted as a panelist on a variety of continuing legal education seminars ranging from Commercial Real Estate to Trying Cases in the time of Covid 19.  I have been published in the MBA Civil Litigation Section publication.
