Professor Breanishea Amaya is a faculty Teaching Fellow in New England Law's Clinical Law Office. Professor Amaya is a 2015 alum of New England Law, where she earned her JD after working towards her BA in Spanish from the University of Texas at Arlington.
For the past three years Professor Amaya has served as a staff attorney at the Victim Rights Center, where she represented survivors of sexual assault in immigration, safety, and privacy matters in immigration, district, and superior courts throughout the Commonwealth. She also oversaw the office’s Internship Program, which involved recruiting, interviewing, and supervising law students. Professor Amaya is the President-Elect of the Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys (MAHA) and co-chair of the Massachusetts Domestic & Sexual Violence Council.
