Federal Work Study Program
Federal work study helps qualifying students pay for their higher education by providing opportunities for part-time student employment. Work study can replace an equivalent amount of federal student loan eligibility allowing you to earn money to help pay for your education and minimize law school loan debt. Students need to complete a FAFSA for eligibility to be determined.
How Work Study Works
Work study comes with rules and regulations for student and employer eligibility. To comply with the law, New England Law | Boston has established guidelines and processes that must be followed by both students and employers.
How to Apply
Qualifying for work study is based on financial need, you must complete a FAFSA and the FWS application to be considered. Submit your FWS application to the Office of Financial Aid.
How will I know if I qualify?
Check with the Office of Financial Aid to see if you’re eligible for Federal Work Study. Once you are awarded FWS as part of your financial aid package, you may set up a job with one of the New England Law departments that are hiring.
Getting Hired
Hiring requests are confirmed by email. You must complete employment forms and visit payroll with your I-9 identification documents.
Getting Paid
