From the moment you arrive on campus and throughout your time at New England Law | Boston, our Career Services team will “Prepare You for Professional Excellence.” We will work closely with you to help you prepare for the job search process, introduce potential career paths you may not have considered, and connect you with our vast alumni network. Law networking, employer panels, and other career-focused events are held throughout the school year to support your success.

Career Counseling

The Career Services Office helps students create a personalized strategy to identify and achieve their career goals. From 1L specific programming to mock interviews, practice specific panels, and one on one coaching, our team meets students where they are to meet their needs.

Responsible Lawyering

The Career Services Office partners with the Academic Excellence Program to present career development programming during the 1L Responsible Lawyering Class. These innovative and interactive sessions cover important topics to meet the CSO mission of preparing students for professional excellence. Topics covered include resume and cover letter writing, 1L Summer job searching, networking and perfecting needed communication skills. The Fall sessions end with a capstone event in November bringing together over 200 alumni for an evening of networking and connecting, and in the Spring the program includes sessions on Interviewing Best practices.

Alumni Career Forum

Network one-on-one with successful New England Law graduates at our annual Alumni Career Forum. Alumni who are pursuing both traditional and nontraditional legal careers gather to answer your questions, and give advice for entering the job market.

Boston Bar and Massachusetts Bar Association Student Membership

New England Law | Boston students are automatically enrolled to become law student members of the Boston Bar and Massachusetts Bar Association. Both professional associations have access to hundreds of free educational programs, networking opportunities, and social events, and many New England alums serve as active members and leaders in both groups.
