Albert Maggio (admitted to practice in California, Florida, and Massachusetts) is a Principal at CRGO Law, a boutique law firm providing corporate, securities, and intellectual property services, where he services clients in the software, communications, entertainment, fintech, and media industries. He routinely represents high-growth companies in negotiations of business development and licensing agreements, debt, equity, and M&A transactions, as well as corporate formation, structure, and operational matters. Mr. Maggio represented one of the defendants in Architext, Inc. v. Kikuchi, et al., 20 Mass. L. Rep. 127 (May 19, 2005); 2005 Mass. Super. LEXIS 487, 2005 WL 2864244, the leading Massachusetts state court trade secrets case, wherein the trial court declined to adopt the “inevitable disclosure” doctrine. He was formerly a financial advisor and held Series 7 & 66 licenses with Merrill Lynch and UBS in Palm Beach. He was head of finance, administration and law for a Silicon Valley software company. He is a Fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation (20+ year member of the IOLTA Grants Committee and former member of the Audit Committee), the former Chair of the Business Law Section Council of the Massachusetts Bar Association, a former member of the Clients’ Security Fund Committee of the Florida Bar, an Executive Committee member of the Business Law Section of the California Lawyers Association (former co-editor of the Section’s Business Law News), and a Steward with the Council for Inclusive Capitalism.
