Professional Background

Attorney Amiee Parco is a Senior Staff Attorney in the Family Law Unit at Greater Boston Legal Services, where she represents survivors of domestic violence in complex family-law matters and supervises and mentors newer attorneys. She has worked in civil legal services since 2018 and has extensive experience in divorce, custody, interstate relocation and jurisdictional matters, restraining-order proceedings, and survivor-centered advocacy.

The legal profession is Attorney Parco’s second career. Before attending law school, she owned and operated a hair salon in Boston’s South End for approximately 15 years. Her experience as a small-business owner and hairstylist continues to inform the practical, approachable, and client-centered perspective she brings to her legal work.

Attorney Parco began her legal-services career at Casa Myrna, where she represented survivors of domestic violence in family-court and abuse-prevention proceedings from 2018 to 2023. She also directed the organization’s legal internship program, partnering with area law schools to recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate law students, including SJC Rule 3:03 certified student attorneys whom she accompanied to court.

She joined Greater Boston Legal Services in 2023 and was promoted to Senior Staff Attorney in 2026. In addition to maintaining an active litigation practice, she supervises attorneys and co-leads the Relocation Counseling Project. She also develops and presents trainings on coercive control, restraining-order practice, domestic-violence evidence, and survivor-centered representation.

Attorney Parco has participated in statewide legislative advocacy to strengthen protections for survivors. She testified in support of legislation expanding the definition of abuse under G.L. c. 209A to include coercive control and certain forms of image-based sexual abuse. Those protections became law in 2024 and took effect on September 18, 2024. She has also advocated for legislation providing civil legal remedies to survivors of economic abuse.

Since 2025, Attorney Parco has served as an adjunct faculty member at New England Law | Boston. She has taught Domestic Violence and the Law and Divorce Practice and is teaching Domestic Violence and the Law again during the Fall 2026 semester. Through her teaching, supervision, and training work, she is committed to preparing future attorneys to practice family law with skill, compassion, and an understanding of the complex dynamics of domestic violence.

Attorney Parco is an active member of the Women’s Bar Foundation, where she trains and mentors attorneys serving on its pro bono panel. She was also a member of the Boston Bar Foundation’s 2024–2025 Public Interest Leadership Program, a year-long leadership-development program for public-interest attorneys.

In 2026, Attorney Parco was selected by the Women’s Bar Association as an Emerging Woman Leader in the Law, recognizing her professional accomplishments, leadership, and commitment to advancing women in the legal profession.

Attorney Parco earned her J.D. from New England Law Boston in 2017 and her B.A. from Salem State University.
