Professional Background

Stacy Silveira is Principal of the Law Office of Stacy J. Silveira. She has practiced indigent criminal defense for serious felony cases on appeal in Massachusetts since 2005. Silveira began her career as an appellate prosecutor in Boston’s Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, and since then has argued over 45 cases before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and Supreme Judicial Court. She is passionate about serving others, not only as an advocate for her clients, but as a teacher and a mentor. In addition to teaching and serving as Writing Specialist at New England Law, Silveira has served as a judge for the New England Regional Round of the National Moot Court Competition and a brief grader for Boston College Law School’s Wendell F. Grimes Moot Court Competition.
