Professional Background

Upon graduating from New England Law | Boston, Andrea received a Judicial Fellowship from NEL|B and was a Law Fellow to the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court.  She thereafter joined Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks, an IP firm in Boston, where she worked as an Associate for nearly nine years.  Her practice focused on patent preparation and prosecution and counseling (e.g., freedom-to operate and patentability studies, validity and infringement opinions, and due diligence support).  She then joined Abiomed (J&J MedTech), a medical device company, where she currently works as Senior IP Counsel.  In this role, she enjoys fostering a culture of innovation, strategically managing the company’s global IP portfolio, negotiating complex agreements, providing due diligence support, and supporting litigation matters.
