We Are Here for You
The Office of Student Services helps support our law students by providing mental health resources, answering questions about policies and procedures, granting reasonable accommodations, and more.
Mental Health Services
We offer stress-relief resources, proactive wellness, and counseling services to help keep you balanced and focused:
- Telehealth mental health services through Uwill
- A partnership with Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers offering consultation, ongoing group counseling, and other offerings specific to the unique needs of lawyers and law students.
Law School Resources
Think of us as your toolbox of information, resources, and support. Whether you have a question, need guidance, or are looking for the right connection, we’re here to help. As a first line of contact, our goal is to provide timely answers, point you toward helpful resources, and ensure you have the information you need to succeed.
Accessibility Services
Accommodations under Section 504 and the Americans with Disabilities Act ensure that every student has equal access.
Student Well-being
We are committed to supporting student well-being through a variety of wellness-focused programs and events offered throughout the academic year. Popular offerings include periodic therapy dog visits each semester, providing students with an opportunity to relax, recharge, and connect with some furry friends (and snap a few photos along the way). Recent wellness initiatives have featured live yoga classes, chair massage sessions, financial health and wellness workshops, and recovery-focused panel discussions. These programs are designed to promote physical, mental, emotional, and financial well-being while helping students maintain a healthy balance throughout their law school experience.
Ad hoc News
Ad Hoc News is our monthly email newsletter that keeps students informed about important deadlines, administrative updates, campus resources, and upcoming events. Regular topics include registration information, exam preparation tips, student support services, and other timely announcements to help students stay connected and informed throughout the academic year.
Beyond 1L
Each year, we host a reorientation program for upper class students that provides important updates on graduation requirements, bar exam preparation, clinical opportunities, academic policies, and available student resources. The program helps students stay informed and prepare for key milestones in their legal education.
Student Handbook
We help ensure a fair and supportive learning environment through our school rules and policies. Our office serves as a first point of contact for students seeking clarification, support, or assistance in navigating school processes and resolving issues.
Student practice certifications
For students participating in internships or working in jobs with practicing lawyers across the country, the Office of Student Services processes all paperwork for their student practice certifications. If you have questions about Rule 3:03, or about similar Rules in other states, we have answers.
CARE (Concern, Assess, Respond, Evaluate)
The CARE (Concern, Assess, Respond, Evaluate) Team supports students who may be experiencing personal challenges, distress, or other circumstances affecting their well-being or academic success. Through case management, resource referrals, and coordinated support, the team helps connect students with the assistance they need.
